An easy to use, strong and flexible Solvent Based Glue used for gluing leather.
- Newly improved formula!
- Extremely strong
- Quick drying – sets naturally in minutes but strengthens over 24 hours
- Excellent for cosmetic repairs
- Can be used to glue leathers together and for gluing leather to other materials
A professional glue which is very flexible, designed for use on all leathers. It remains flexible once dry and will not turn hard or brittle which means you can repair damage on high use areas and not be worried about the damage splitting open.
As this glue is a contact adhesive it is great for quick repairs, and for repairs which do not require any manipulation, like sticking two edges of leather together, for example. It starts drying instantly, and no heat is required. It will set naturally within a few minutes and strengthen more over 24 hours.
Leather Glue SB is Suitable For
Leather Glue SB can be used on all different articles of leather, from furniture and car interiors to clothes, shoes, handbags and even equestrian leathers.
Aniline and Semi-Aniline Leather
Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from any contaminants.
For maximum strength, apply to both surfaces, leave for 30 seconds then press and hold together.
Leave to dry naturally.
It will set naturally within a few minutes and strengthen more over 24 hours.
Q. Can I use this glue on high use areas?
A. Of course, the glue is extremely flexible, even once cured, therefore it can take the stress of a high use area.
Q. What is the difference between Leather Glue PU and Leather Glue SB?
A. PU Glue is water based and is not a contact adhesive which means you have more time to manipulate the leather or patch before the glue sets, and needs cured with heat. SB glue is solvent based, and it is a contact adhesive, so is better used when there is no manipulation required as it sticks on contact and requires no heat to cure.
Q. Why can this not be used on bicast?
A. As this glue is solvent based the glue can melt the plastic coating on bicast. If you have damage on bicast leather you should use the Leather Glue PU.
Q. My leather is ripped, can this be used to fix it?
A. Yes with the use of a Repair Sub Patch, however if the leather does not sit together flush, we would recommend using our Complete Leather Repair Kit, as this comes with everything you need to repair this type of damage
