About Leather Repair Patch

The Repair Sub Patch is a flexible cloth, measuring 50cm² or 1m², that is used as a backing patch when making repairs to leather.

Using a pair of Tweezers, the patch is glued to the back of the leather to create a strong and flexible base for a repair.

The Heavy Filler or Leather & Vinyl Weld is then used to actually fill the damage.

We also do a Leather Repair Kit that includes the repair patch and all the filler, glue and colour needed to repair leather.

The Leather Repair Patch can be used on all types of leather.

 

Leather Repair Patch Instructions

The Leather Repair Patch must be used in conjunction with a few products to make a repair to leather. If you don’t have any of these products, it is more cost effective to buy everything you need in  our Leather Repair Kit.

Otherwise, to make an effective leather repair you will also need:

Leather Glue
Heavy Filler
Leather Repair Paint

The process to repair the leather is simple. Glue the repair patch behind the rip or hole using the Leather Glue. Leave the glue to dry and then fill any gaps with the Heavy Filler.

The repair patch holes the whole repair together creating an extremely strong, and flexible leather repair.

The last step is to then apply the Leather Repair Paint over the Heavy Filler to blend it in with the rest of your leather for an invisible repair.
